WILSON FAMILY FARMS

Restoration is a Journey.

This website was created to share our family journey to live simply. Share our successes and what we learn from our failures. We never dreamed the journey ahead.

December 11, 2021 a tornado swept through our small farming community and left our farm and many others in rubble.

Share in our journey as we collect the pieces and re-build. God is Faithful, He is good, we are ALIVE to tell the story.

About Us

We have dreamed of owning our own farm for many years. After establishing our family of 5, we knew we had to make changes to reach our hearts desire. We were working to live, and that was not living for us.

Chris has always been an “old timer” at heart. Having a love for trapping, hunting and living off the land in general, we joke (which is actually reality) and say that if he didn’t marry and have a family, he would be living in the alaskan wilderness- far away from civilization and living off the land. For fun , might I add.

I find myself dreaming of digging in the dirt and watching plants grow. Spending days cooking, canning, talking with my chickens and baking while homeschooling our 3 children. This dream is just now starting to come into fruition and it felt selfish to not share this journey with others. I have found myself thinking, “I need to put these recipes in one place.” Well, here we go.

Here we’re going to share our journey from the city to the farm, our journey to self-sufficiency, How the Lord’s hand was all over our move, our successes & failures and hopefully something that inspires you.

Thank you for joining us.

So that’s what we did.”
